VSU Observatory Opens Jan. 20-21 for Total Lunar Eclipse
The Valdosta State University Observatory will be open from 10 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, to 1 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, weather permitting, to give area residents an opportunity to view the full moon, total lunar eclipse, Pleiades star cluster, Orion Nebula, and other celestial wonders.
VSU Fine Arts Gallery Hosts Valdosta National Jan. 22-Feb. 8
More than 360 individual works of art by adult artists from across the United States were submitted for the Valdosta State University Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery’s Valdosta National 2019. The all-media juried competition and exhibition opens at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, with a reception and awards ceremony.
